Carson wasn't afraid of Santa this year.

Amara and her friends after a morning of pre-pre school.

There is something truly magical that happens when children are surrounding us during the Christmas season. There is nothing better and it makes me want to be a kid again. The sugar cookies, the singing, the paper snowflakes, the telling of the First Christmas, sitting by the Christmas tree and firelight. I told Amara that I had some presents for her for Christmas, and she replied, "No, Mom, Santa will bring my presents down the chimney!" She told me.

Amara asked for a jump rope and a helmet in her letter to Santa. I think she's planning some serious dare devil jump roping after Christmas.

A court jester look-alike in his winter garb.

Amara likes her Mr. potato head.

I had to document the first time Amara let me curl her hair for church AND take a picture all in the same day! I know she has my hair genes because after the picture, the curl pretty much fell out.

Happy 31st Birthday Cameron! Cameron shares his birthday with our niece, Ella. It was a double birthday celebration. Amy had fun rushing to decorate this cake before having our Thanksgiving meal and birthday party.

Words can't describe how much this boy melts my heart and how incredibly funny and smart he is. He watched me as I spilled some milk on the counter and he pointed at it and said "Mess!" He loves to sing along to "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". His favorite foods are chicken nuggets "nuggich" and yogurt "nogut". When I put him in his bed he says "Nai Nai, luv ew."

It's amazing how a child playing in the leaves and a husband with a child-like heart manage to remove the drudgery from the fall clean-up.
