Family Time

On Sunday, Carson hopped up on the piano bench and started to play and sing. We thought it was cute and asked him to do it again for us:

Carson loves cars. We went on a walk through the neighborhood and these cars were parked outside a home. Carson walked around them and pointed. The neighbors came out and started the blue one and they stared as they heard the engine roar.

Since Carson loves cars, we thought it would be a good transition bed for him. It worked great because he was so excited to go to bed in his car bed at night. The problem is he stays up all night playing in it and wakes up really early to play with it. It is fun seeing how happy a child can get with something like a car bed. Amara and Carson spend a lot of time reading and playing in it. It is almost like having a separate play room.

It's a BOY!

Here is an ultrasound image of our little Dibblet #3. It's a boy, due around September 1. It's the best feeling to know that as far as they can tell from the ultrasound, and aside from all the disclaimers they cite, he's perfectly healthy. When I told Amara that the baby is a boy, she started to cry saying, "I wanted a sister!" Now, a few days later, she has warmed up to the idea of being the big sister to another little boy. And to my surprise, this morning she said, "Mom, when is my baby boy going to come? It's taking a long time. I want to hold him!" She wants to name him "Shadow" after her friend Michelle's dog. I've already vetoed that one. And I've also told Cameron that we will not name our son Jimmer. We'll save that one for our first pet.
