Amara Joy Dibb was born on January 3, 2007. She weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. Mother and baby are both healthy and happy. Amara is very peaceful and it is amazing how calm and cute she is. Below are some pictures of Amara during her first week.
Amara is a name that we thought we made up, but we have since learned that the name has been used before. Amy thought of it when she was on her mission to the Dominican Republic and I like it because it also relates to Brazil. We liked it because it has the Spanish/Portuguese/Latin root "love" and after doing some research we found that it has a greek root meaning "eternal". We thought it would be a constant reminder of her Heavenly Father's as well as her earthly parents' eternal love for her. We have also discovered that the name means "eternally beautiful" and "steadfast" in other languages. We also both liked the middle name Joy, and she has lived up to her name being a great joy in our home.

Amara is beautiful! Maybe she and Noelle can be roomates and live at Stonebridge! Everyone looks great!
