What A Week

A lot of fun things happened this week. First of all, Amara is sitting up all by herself and is learning to crawl. She can really move around now. She switches her style depending on the motivation and how tired she is.

Amy got some pictures of Amara that we think look like Amy when she was a baby. Maybe it's just the baldness and the ears sticking out...
Amy circa 1980 (don't you love the 70's designs?)...
What do you think?
We also went to a Collin Raye concert at the Salt Lake County Fair. He has a lot of well known songs and it was fun to listen to songs we both listened to throughout the years. The concert was on the rodeo/demolition derby grounds.
In this picture, the stage is above us:
Here is a shot of the stage with the crowd:

Cameron also started work this week. He is glad that he is getting paid to study and work rather than paying to study and work. His first week was mostly orientation and training. This is a picture of Cameron with the baby just before we dropped him off on his first day.

We also went to the Bountiful High Class of '97 reunion. It was Cameron's 10 year reunion. Cameron thinks nothing shows time flies more than talking with a mother of 4 with number 5 on the way who was in your English and choir classes in high school.

This is a picture of us at the high school hanging out. Cameron has already been playing on a recreation softball team with a lot of his high school buddies, but there were almost 600 in Cameron's graduating class and so many came. Cameron got so nostalgic.

More Visitors from The 'Ville

The Maxfields are in town from Louisville visiting family, so we went to visit them and their new baby Owen. It was great catching up and just hanging out. They are a great family and visiting made us homesick for Louisville and the friends there.

We were able to see Owen for the first time. He's a little cutie. While we were there Amara just loved watching another baby. Here is a picture we got of Amara and Owen together.

Trip to Santa Barbara

Amy and Amara spent the past two weeks in Santa Barbara, California with family. Amy helped her parents unpack and get settled after their mission and Stacy also had a wedding reception. All of the Record daughters were in town for the fun.

The family also hit the beach and it was Amara's first time in the sand and ocean:

Amy was in town at the same time her two friends Jeni and Jaimi were in town.

The wedding reception was also fun:

And there was always time to play around:

It is said that California knows how to party, and it is true. All this fun sure does make a person tired...
