From the Sea to the Snow

We went to Santa Barbara to visit Grandma and Grandpa last week. We had gorgeous weather and a lot of fun.

It's exercise time with Grandpa! Amara loves her time with "PaPa".

We visited the Danish town of Solvang. They have the cutest shops and we found some old-fashioned wooden toys that you don't find at Walmart. Oops! Did I give away the Christmas surprises?

Carson mostly just hung out the whole time. He started to only wake up once during the night while we were there. Mommy loved it! And since we've been back, he has been sleeping through the night! Now I remember what it's like to have 8 straight hours of sleep! Maybe his reaching 14 pounds helps him to sleep longer. He's a BIG boy and he's the spitting image of his dad, but with a dimpled chin.

It was a windy day at the wharf. We left just before a rain storm blew in.
Carson became well-versed in the teachings of Joseph Smith with Grandma and Grandpa.

Don't we look like we belong at the beach? Why can't we all afford to live in SB?

Cameron and I got to ride to the beach without kids. Thanks Grandma! It was a great trip. Free babysitters, lots of sun and things to do. We didn't want to leave, but every vacation must come to an end.

We returned home with snow on the ground and had a little storm last night. Amara wishes her backyard were still a summer backyard.

I think she got used to the snow and enjoys it now. It looks like we'll have a white Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!
