Leaving Louisville

As we have settled into our new home in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have thought of some of the great experiences we had while living in Louisville, Kentucky and we have decided to make a list of the things we "Love About Louisville" in no particular order.
1. The Green: As we were traveling to Kentucky and when we moved in we kept commenting about how green it was. There were huge trees and plants everywhere. Nobody had sprinklers and it seemed like everyone had a riding lawn mower.
2. The Law Students: The students at the University of Louisville were great friends and made law school great. We were stuck in sections the first year and saw each other in every class every day but we made some great friendships that will last forever.
3. Graeters Ice Cream: Mint Chocolate Chip was Amy's favorite. There was a van that would come to Amy's work at the hospital and Amy would occasionally sneek down and buy a cone. There was also a store right by the church that we could go to (we know what you are thinking, we didn't go on Sunday, just after mutual and basketball).
4. The Louisville 6th Ward and the Louisville Stake: What an awesome group (y'all know who you are). When we left to Louisville for law school, we had been married just over two months and we were learning about what we wanted our family goals and traditions to be. We looked to the members of the church as examples for our developing family. We will be forever grateful to those leaders and friends who taught us so much. We also loved the activities and just hanging out and playing games on a Friday night.
5. Ott Bowl: The Super Bowl party of all Super Bowl parties.
6. Country Concerts: We were able to see Brad Paisley at the Kentucky State Fair and Rascal Flatts at Freedom Hall. What great concerts and great seats! There is nothing like going to a country concert in a southern city like Louisville, Kentucky.
7. Road Trips: Louisville seems close to everything out east. We were able to go to Nashville, Nauvoo, Washington D.C., Lexington, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.
8. The Derby, Oaks and Thunder Over Louisville: You can't really explain how special that time is for the people of Kentucky, you just have to be there. The excitement lasts for two weeks during this time. We were bummed that most of the festivities happened during Cameron's finals so we were not able to see and do all that we wanted.
9. The Thunder Storms: The smells and the sound and all the rain they brought.
10. The Sports: Everyone talks basketball in Kentucky. The pick-up and the school intramural games were great. The church basketball league was great with so many students and competitive players. We don't have cable but we were able to watch games all Saturday long because there are so many difference games from so many conferences on local TV.
11. El Caporal: Our favorite little mexican restaurant in Louisville.
12. Amara born at Baptist East Hospital: Amara joined our family while we were in Louisville and our life has never been the same since.
13. The Orange Bowl and the Final Four: The University of Louisville went to the Final Four and the Orange Bowl while Cameron was in school. Cameron watched the Orange Bowl in the hospital the night before Amara was born. It was fun going to the games and watching them on TV. It is great going to a school where they have huge success in football and basketball at the same time.
14. Penn Station Sandwhiches: They need to franchise out here. Amy always got the chicken cordon bleu and Cameron always got the Philly cheese steak and we both always got the fresh fries and fresh squeezed lemonade.
